Questions

Do I need to be technical to use it?

No. The launch, SEO and copy sections need no technical knowledge. A few items in the WordPress checklist involve settings or a configuration file; they're clearly explained, and you can pass them to your developer or host if you prefer.

I don't use WordPress. Is it still useful?

Yes. Four of the five sections apply to any website platform. Only the speed and security checklist is WordPress-specific, and much of its advice on passwords, backups and images applies elsewhere too.

Is this legal advice?

No. The kit gives plain-English summaries of common UK requirements, such as privacy policies, cookie consent and business information, and links to official guidance on gov.uk and ico.org.uk. It's general guidance, not legal advice.

Can I use it with my own clients?

Yes. You can use and adapt the checklists, templates and questionnaire for your own business and your client projects. Please don't resell or redistribute the kit itself.

What format are the files?

A PDF for reading and printing, an editable Word (DOCX) document, and Markdown text files. They work with Word, Google Docs, LibreOffice and most text editors.
